Transforming travel

Tourism in Vietnam continues to be a promising source of income for the country, with growing demand for accommodation and services coming from both local and international travelers and with several new high quality projects in the pipeline. As Vietnam's tourism market grows, international operators will continue to be an integral part of the expansion. Compared to a few years ago, the number of projects appealing to international operators is much greater. In addition, the quality of the design, planning as well as the infrastructure within Vietnam has advanced to support the larger volumes of inbound visitors. In 2010, there were 30 hotels operating under international brands, while at the end of 2017 there were 79, with more expected to enter the market this year. A particularly large increase in international hoteliers was observed in 2018, with recent announcements including the Mandarin Oriental, Movenpick, Melia and INNSIDE in Ho Chi Minh City and the Best Western Premier in Quang Binh province and Long Hai in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
