Proper understanding of resort real estate

Resort real estate has become a trend developing strongly recently. Many projects have constantly opened for sale with new types of products, such as Condotel (hotel apartment), officetel (office accommodation). However, one of the most difficult problems is the legal framework of the projects when the framework mechanism, policies to manage and switching purpose of the property still having gaps. At the "Investment in condotel: Realities, prospects, and solutions" conference recently held, Nguyen Van Sinh, Deputy Minister of Construction said that this is a new type which is not specifically noted by law. Therefore, the implementation of condotel projects in the past has not been very convenient for both local and investors. In addition, according to Nguyen Tran Nam, Chairman of Vietnam Real Estate Association, it is necessary to add the condotel type to the law because it has been defined as commodity.

Opportunity for billion dollar Vung Tau Paradise complex still open

One year after the province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau published criteria to choose a new investor for the large-scale Paradise tourism complex in the coastal city of Vung Tau, no investor subscribed for the shares, even though many have shown interest. Phu Quoc transforms old administrative area into residential land

Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee has held a ceremony to announce the plan for local adjustment of the planning project of Duong Dong Urban Zone and the planning of the green area of Bac Bai Truong in Duong To Commune with the rate of 1/2,000. In Duong Dong town, the planning map updates the canal system and two large projects in the old airport area, including the Uncle Ho statue and square. These two projects have an area of 8.29 ha. New administrative area is planned in north of Cach Mang Thang Tam Street. The old administrative area is turned into residential land. Especially, the land area for the Phu Quoc People's Committee will be transformed to commercial purpose with maximum height of up to 29 floors.
